2011 Gaming Predictions!

1) New GTA will be announced
2) psp2 will fail due to poor pricing and being compared to the 3ds
3) 3ds Lite announced by the end of the year
4) a record amount of games will be launched on 11-11-11 causing many consumers to go bankrupt due to the sheer amount of games that come out on that one day.
5) 3ds will be launching some e-reader capacity
6) a new pink wii will be announced

I may be biased as I have a kindle but I don't think the screen on a 3ds will suit an ereader application as it will be too small.

I thought he meant e-reader as in the e-card reader :shifty:

Also, as that 100 Classic Books "game" has proved, some people must be alright with reading books on the 3DS, if people can do it on the iPhone, I can't see why the 3DS, with it's two screens, shouldn't be able to.

Nintendo:

- 3DS released and is so amazing peoples' heads start exploding all over the world out of sheer awesomenessess.
- No HD Wii is announced. At E3 Nintendo mention they're working on the Wii 2 but give no other information
- That finger thing they shown a few years ago gets released and surprises everyone when it turns out to be ok.
- After the great sales of StarFox 64 3D and Pilotwings Resort Nintendo finally give true sequels to the games on Wii
- Nintendogs + Cats + Hamsters

Microsofts

- Perfect Dark 2 has nothing to do with kinect and turns out to be pretty good.
- Halo not remade
- Some form of Halo spin-off game released. One just about space battles.

Sony
- Dennis finally gets around to buying Zenigame a PS3
- Motorstorm Mondays with the new Motorstorm prove to be much better with Zenigame instead of Chalkitdown, who has such bad South American lag he can't compete anymore.
- Uncharted 3 turns out rubbish

Multiformat
- New GTA screens and trailer are released in March. With a shock release date later in the year.
- Steam comes to the Wii
- Lucas replaces Rooney on the FIFA 12 boxart

Hardly, compare it to a proper space flight sim and it was pretty poor. Average at best, really.

That (part of the) level was my favourite moment from the game. I want an entire Halo game like that.

It just didn't feel like you were in space, it was just like you were flying a banshee or something. It just sounded like space. If they got the guys who made Darkstar One in to do a Halo-themed version, you'd be onto a winner.

Proper space flight sim as in what? I mean for starters it wasn't supposed to be any kind of sim clearly, its a shooter and thats exactly what it was.

But again even if you are talking sims theres a big difference between something like the XWing games and I War ones, both are very good, but if you are looking for the more accurate representation of what it might be like, you'd have to go for I War all the way...doesn't necessarily make it the better game.

I guess what I'm saying is that you have to take it for what it is and not get hung up on what it isn't. It was very good at what it did and it was a lot of fun to play.

If they're going to do a game of space battles, it'll need to do space battles well. That section in Reach didn't feel like it was in outer space, therefore they've fallen at the first hurdle.

It was a decent section of a game, but I don't think it was worthy of all the praise it got as a space-section, it was just a typical Halo-flying-shooty bit.

I disagree. It wasn't a space sim and it wasn't trying to be. Doesn't make it a bad space shooter.
