I don't know whether this is the brand spanking new 3DS thread Tirany was mumbling about making, or just a specific one to discuss its region locking. I'll say both my bits here;

This region locking is annoying for me, as I'm stuck in Japan until August, and probaby won't be able to get one over here no, what with the hassle of getting games back home. Boo-urns.

Also, saw an advert for this on TV the other day.

It was just some celebrity who picked it up and just went "cool!" (no footage or anything). I still made everyone in the room shut up though.

DS should be OK. DSi is dubious, and 3DS is right out.

Such a step back. Plus it'll only encourage people to use custom fireware as with the case after Sony removed Linux.

I like either of the two-tone colours, they make the console stand out a little. I don't want a white DS again and the blue/ black combo looks next gen(ish).

Apparently we are getting blue, red and black, which seems to be all the launch colours for the moment. I've seen a purple, orange and a green 3DS but I don't know if they are being released in the final production.

Orange looks tasty. Part of me wishes Nintendo would just release one standard colour for the next year or so. Sometimes no choice is better.

Blue seems to be the official colour, so if you feel that way you can just limit yourself to that.

I remember preordering the White Original Gameboy Advance and they never had any instock so I got the Blue Translucent one instead. Not a biggy, but I really wanted the white one! The old impatient me. :fp:

Was that one of the ones with the members from Arashi? It's a really, really bad advert but their :O faces are quite funny.
