Ah, interesting. I'll leave it be, then. Perhaps you could PM TAP with what you know - at least then someone in charge would have an idea.

You're not running the game any more, DML. It really would be better to tell us what your theory on his role is so we can continue the game on a rational foundation, rather than that of whispers and hearsay.

I cannot say because it kills him.

Knowing his riole kills him? or the Vamps will kill him?

Its.....not totally clear. It will become totally apparent once he/if he dies - but he is not a Vampire and not a threat either.

As I said, tomorrow he's due for a thorough probing, especially if Mori's a vamp.

Does that mean Mori is the Mafia role that can't be daykilled and needs to be nightkilled?

Maybe he has some influence over the vote in that if he gets the most votes, he'll be saved rather than killed?

Then again, maybe that'd be a bit imbalanced and especially as he knows who the other vigi is, we're screwed if that's the case.

Would be lovely if someone could explain all the various roles that there are/possibly are. This is my first game like this and all these roles are coming out of the woodwork that could have an effect on the game.

The minute someone says there's a all conquering Terminator role, I'm committing in-game suicide.

It'd be an interesting mechanic as in we'd need to deliberately all vote for the other person to kill them.

Just think of it as kind of a way a very powerful criminal can bribe the jury and be let off scott free at the sake of another person.

WAIT.

After the first blood and death. Tiarny posted this post.

The Alchemist Penguin wrote:Image

Memento Mori is a Vampire.

You are a Villager.

I am a Seer.

"That was the opening of my PM to Mockmaster, and it was one of the riskiest things I've ever done in this game. It was only the second night, the game was still in very early stages, and yet I decided to risk everything in the hope that Mockmaster wasn't The Count. Why?"

Image
"Well, because one of Mori's first posts was to name DML, Mockmaster, Drumstick and myself as "likely candidates for being selected". Drumstick was killed off early, a vigilante who fell for Mori's insidious trap, and it was quite possible the rest of the list would soon fall. Would one of the first things the vampires do be to name The Count? The risks seemed too great, the list was too logical as an "early lead", and like Drumstick, The Count could easily have been shot. So I did it. I sent the PM.

Memento Mori is a Vampire.

Mockmaster is a Villager.

I am a Seer.

Image
"I first decided to seer Mockmaster, amusingly due to Mori's advice. I wanted to target the big players, the "obvious choices" first. I created a list of big players, put them in a somewhat arbitrary order of "biggest players first", and then I went on my way. I wasn't selected myself, despite Mori considering me a "obvious choice", so it was easy to think that anyone else obvious would also be a fellow villager. Mockmaster, it was revealed, was a villager."

Image
"I had my second choice all ready to go, but then..."

Image
"I got suspicious!

Watching the thread, there was someone who caught my eye...

The way they took the early lead, threw out the first theories. Then he defended voting for StayDead in an attempt to "even the vote" and keep it a "contest". When I questioned him on this his answers weren't very satisfactory. Which was strange, Mori was always a good player and yet his reasoning seemed unusually weak.

So I changed my mind."

Image
"I was going to seer Mori!"

Image
"The response came back."

Image
"VAMPIRE!"

Image
"I was giddy, but I had nobody I could trust. This information, so early in the game, was too valuable. I had to get it out there, even at the risk of death to myself. So the only person I could even remotely begin to trust, was the only other person I had seer'd, and was a person named by Mori on "the likely list". So I did it. I typed it up. I left it there. I mulled over it. Should I do it? No. Yes. No. YES! And so I sent it."

Image
"Then I instantly regretted it. I was sure I had just told The Count I was a Seer!"

Image
"But after working with him over the last day, and everything he put on the line to take down Mori, I trust Mockmaster."

Image

-- So why am I doing this? --

"Why am I running out in the open and painting a massive target on my back? Well, because Mori's first action was to paint a massive target on my back anyway! Now once he is confirmed as a vampire, the people on his list will naturally become "quite unlikely to be vampires" and people who are confirmed innocent in this game are very quickly taken out. My time is already limited. If Mockmaster was to die tomorrow, my only contact would be gone!"

"So, instead, I'm here. I'd rather go down fighting, trying to take every last vampire with me."

"Perhaps I'm about to die anyway? At the very least, I'll take Mori down with me and prove Mockmaster right."

Image

DAY 3 - ENDGAME STARTS NOW!
I can only offer my theories on the following, but:

Mori didn't name Parksey (a well known massively influential player) and despite naming DML and myself due to us running games in the past, he didn't name StayDead despite him doing the exact same. Now, StayDead's behaviour in the game has been erratic at best, and his constant defence of Mori is plain to see, plus Mori voted for him to be mayor with that weak excuse from before. Out of the two, I would suspect StayDead long before I suspect Parksey. I do apologise if you are an innocent, Parksey!

Tiarny, why would you go back and edit that into one of your old posts?

long before I suspect Parksey. I do apologise if you are an innocent, Parksey!

Also, are people forgetting the fact that *I wasn't the one to shoot Parksey*? All this talk of "Throwing Parksey under the bus" makes no sense. It means that I had to trick Mori's vigilante into shooting Parksey, rather than Mori, as that would seemingly destroy my plan. If you check my original MEGATON post, there was no mention of Parksey being a vampire (There is mention of suspecting him, but not the confirmation that came later). I only got that information after the kills, after the megaton. It was always about Mori, and I'm somewhat annoyed the vigilante shot the wrong target. Mori seemed the much more immediate threat.

Also is anyone else confused by that? You just said you had to trick the Vigilante into shooting Parksey, but then you said you were annoyed by their decision of who they shot? :?

I still believe you, I'm just confused by the wording.

Did night-phasers get to act on the very first night? (The one in which FE was killed?)
