If you get a seer then we're completely and utterly strawberry floated, also what's to stop a vampire getting mayor and his "random selection" just so happens to be two humans to make sure we avoid any vampires?

I said I would record video of me picking the random lynchee. I could even do it at a set time with the tv on in background as proof just to show that I haven't repeated the draw until I got result I liked.

You could do that, but you could just not put the vampires in you hat/pot/tub/bucket/whatever, and then still get a result you'd want.

Well my plan was to make a list in Excel of every person playing the game and assign them a playing card 52 players, 52 cards. I would remove a card for Cuban Pete as he is my lynchee no.1. Then I would shuffle all of the cards (having shown that they are all there) and finally pick one which would be my lynchee no.2. All of it would be on video and could even be done at an exact time.

Was the Count hand picked? I assumed he was chosen at random with him then getting to choose his brood?

Do we have any main candidates for lynching or are we going the random route?

He was chosen at random.

Cuban Pete is the main candidate for admiting (as a joke?) to be a vampire very early on. No other leads as far as I know.

The count was random, but it was the count that picked the vampires.

Cuban Pete for admitting he was a vampire yesterday in a sneaky way he hoped would not be seen.

Yeah I thought that was how it worked.

Seems fine to me as that could mean the Count isn't an experienced player.

I just re-read the first page again and realised I'd been misunderstand the rules slightly. I thought that two people were going to be lynched, but actually two people are put up for the lynch, then a vote is made, and only the one most voted for is lynched.

As that is the case the whole random lynchee no.2 is not very important as long as all the villagers don't vote for the random guy.

I was a seer in goats abandoned are you a pirate, and I was especially crap. I'm complaining because it's not fair to the lesser known forumites who sign up but never have a chance. random roles is better, it also makes game fairer as cliques are not important. To hand pick vampires takes away some of the magic in my opinion.

If that's the case then it's pretty gooseberry fool really, I mean people play in the hope of getting a special role, people like me who aren't high profile don't stand a chance, besides it spoils part of the game if you start thinking about how may be chosen.

Of course someone may have been joking and since I'm only skim reading the thread I could be mistaken.

And have we confirmed there are definitely vampires this time, it's not another week long gag at our expense!

Edit: I also think that vampires won't draw attention to themselves early on. I bet most haven't posted yet or just nothing "I'm here posts" so we should go for someone who is suspiciously quiet!

Nah, I just imagine Daz is a bit sore because back in TAP's Bluehat version of the game he was amongst the best players yet everyone casually ignored all of his ideas and suggestions, much to the glee of the Bluehats.

That was fun.

However, defining 'suspiciously quiet' is problematic as there need to be clear definitions as to what is quiet and what is offline. I know that I don't post anywhere near as much as I used to, yet I'm almost always online, that could be defined as 'quiet'. Others may have too much work or other activities currently going on (I imagine some students are still doing exams) to be a consistent part of the game at this point.

The Count was assigned randomly. It seems to make sense that he can choose who his first five victims were.

Aaaah okay, that's good.

Let's just get Pete lynched then.

We need to have a Mayor sorted before 2pm people.

I swear only about 7 people have even contributed to this thread so far. :|

EDIT: My vote is for Satriales, also.

Probably a good idea to copy and paste it as that quote box could get pretty long.

I'm concerned that there are more vampires than people voting for mayor.
