In that sense, us killing inactive is the best thing (in the short term) for the vampires.

Culls rarely happen and they don't help us when they do. The villagers strength lies in having the majority so vamps can't decide votes. If you kill off actives all you have left are those who don't vote anyway, so vamps still control votes. I am convinced that there are at least a few vamps hiding by not posting, it's a strategy I would try!

I'm off out soon.

It's been awesome spending the day among the hysteria of all you banana splits my fellow villagers.

Enjoy the rest of the game.

Amusing to read through this

I agree with the person who said Satriales managed to get through in a land-slide, though. Intresting.

There was only about 6 people who bothered to vote for a mayor, and the other candidates weren't exactly vocal.

With respect, Satriales, that isn't ever the point. The number and vocality of rivals to a mayoral position is almost insignificant.

Their quality is. Anybody who makes a cogent case usually drums up a fair bit of support, inspiring confidence, etc.

However, your candidacy was indistinguishable from the others, yet somehow managed to attract at least four votes from people who had not acted yet in this thread. This is the interesting element to me.

Back in AYAW in Space, I was the only wolf on the original 'Bridge' for mayoral candidates. I managed to go without being killed, standing (and winning) the position only once, on the first day.

A sensible pack on Vampires know that they need only ONE heavily active Vamp in the thread at any one time to represent their wills.

Well I don't know why everyone picked me but I can only guess that it's because I was posting a lot this morning and the other candidates weren't. I also fleshed out my candicy a bit revealing exactly how I would pick the random guy, where as the others didn't explain what they were going to do.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter which of us got picked as mayor because we all planned on putting Cuban Pete up for the vote and it looks likely he will lynched. So I'm not gaining anything by being mayor as the result is the same whoever got picked.

Edit: One other thing to consider. If I was a vampire and so getting votes from other vampires then it would be obvious who those vampires are. I don't think it would be a good strategy for vampires to become mayor this early on and receive votes from other vampires, especially on such an unimportant lynching.

I don't know. Possiblities

1) It's just because you're a well known name.

2) Pete is a vampire, so in response to him definitely going down, the rest of the vamps will rally to get rid of him, thus appearing like villagers.

3) It's simply a mistake in strategy to be so blatant

4) They know it's risky, but want to get a huge stranglehold on the game from the off.

We need to wipe out all possibilities and at this point we have nothing apart from what Pete did.

It was a silly thing to do and it's put him in the firing line and our only lead at this point!

Incorrect. You were a wolf in DML's very first AYAW.

Was I?! Apologies then, I don't recall.

Now hey!!! I won't have any of this! You're not sorry so don't say it
