The vampires know one another's identity - therefore they'd know Pete wasn't a villager, and so back this campaign for all it's worth. After all, it saves them even trying to create a false trail, and still gets rid of one villager and earns them three night kills.

I responded to a similar post not long ago but i'll reiterate here that it makes zero sense for vampires to rally together and make me mayor as I was not offering anything different to the other guys. We were all putting Pete up for the lynching and a random other guy (just to make the numbers, 2nd guy was never going to be lynched).

What I will say though is that it's very possible at least one vampire did vote just to be active and if I was a vampire I wouldn't want us all doing the same thing (ie not voting). Considering the small number of votes it may be worth looking into those people and assuming at least one is a vampire, but I don't see the votes themselves being relevant.

Not so - if they know Pete's a villager (which they would have done) then they would have voted for you as it was pretty much 100% that you'd nominate Pete and that he'd get lynched. If you mean, it makes zero sense for them to make sure it was YOU as opposed to any of the other nominations - yeah, you're right, but seeing as you already had a majority, I think you were backed simply to make sure the plan got past the line.

Yes indeed. But between you and HM, I think people would generally vote for you (I'm ruling out OTN because he picked HM and didn't really have justifiable grounds to do so, whereas you and HM both proposed a randomer, assuming - correctly - that Pete would be lynched anyway). That's why I think you got the villager vote - however, my point is that because Pete wasn't a vamp, then you'd get the vampire vote too, as they knew they'd be backing a vote to kill a villager. It has nothing to do with you; if either of the other candidates had a majority vampires would back them in the same way. So I'm not saying we should view you with suspicion - it's some of the people who voted for you that I'm curious about.

(Lord knows why I am explaining this further as I voted for you myself )
