That's because they're not giving codes out yet.

:fp:

Unless you're referring to signing up for an actual account on the site, in which case Eurogamer deserve a :fp:

Not sure what everyones problem is, it was pretty clear that Game would be emailing people to allow them to sign up to the CoDWaW site which would then get them into the beta...its not their fault if you can't read, now is it.

The Crimson Clown wrote:Well this is great, I picked English instead of English UK. Thought I'd try again, cleared cookies, code won't work and so it's useless. ******* BRILLIANT.

******* retarded system.

And again, it does pretty clearly state in the email to be careful to select English UK, I mean it specifically mentions it...

Yes, but why am I even going to bother reading the steps? It should be a straightforward affair, like any other offer that requires you to input a code. Why am I even to going assume this one is any different? It stupid that it doesn't automatically detect location via IP address like most sites do. I'm not the only one who'll make this mistake, guaranteed, because it's just a flat out silly and unclear way of determining location.

Apparently I'm now "Registered to take part". Don't know if/when I'll get a key though.

Beta is up now :)

To all of our VIP members who registered for the Call of Duty HQ between the dates of 6/18/08 and 7/25/08, your Beta Keys have arrived!!!! With many thanks to the HQ Dev Team, we have just updated the website in advance of the e-mail blast that began today.

Effective immediately, if your account was previously flagged as VIP (which means prior to the issuance of the first round of beta keys), your assigned XBOX 360 Beta Key Code can be found by clicking "My Account" from the "dog tags" above and choosing the "Account/Profile" option from the tab menu. You must be be logged into COD HQ, in order to view your personal XBOX 360 Beta Key.

Please note, these keys are exclusive to your private account and ARE NOT intended to be shared or sold! In fact, any indication of such activity will result in deletion of your XBOX Beta Key as well as the permanent banning of your account.

For questions regarding HOW TO INSTALL the XBOX 360 Beta, please click on the link located immediately underneath your assigned Beta Key Code. The INSTALLATION instructions have been linked via an ADOBE PDF file (thus you will need the Adobe reader installed).

Assuming you are actually a VIP Member and you log into the site and DO NOT see your XBOX 360 Beta Key code, please send an email to support@callofduty.com.

THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST ROUND BETA KEY DISTRIBUTION! It has been confirmed that there will be more beta keys to follow, so please be patient if you are not assigned a key at this time.

Please DO NOT SPAM the forums with beta key problems! Use the support@callofduty.com e-mail.

If I pre-order the PC version from Game, will I get a code? Or is just 360?

So the first lot of codes are only for those people that regestered to the site a few months back? I only got my GAME code regestered today, ah well will just have to wait and see.

I registered yesterday and I got a download code. Follow the instructions Boo! posted and see if you've got one.

Managed to play 3 games on 3 maps and I'm now Level 4.

It feels like a mix of the old COD games and COD4. It doesn't really surprise it plays exactly how you would expect. The dogs are a good addition. Hearing barking from all directions and seeing everyone run and back into a corner is really tense.

Really? I mean really? Are you more of a fan of WW2 stuff then modern combat out of interest?

Also anyone know when Eurogamer are giving out codes

It really, really isn't.

Have you been in the tank yet? Absolutely terrible.

The guns don't feel half as good as the ones available in 4, the 'additions' are mostly pointless and crap and its graphically inferior (to the CoD4 beta).

Its CoD4 dressed up in (bad) WW2 clothes with extra gimmicks to make up for the crappiness.

Basically if you've stopped playing CoD4 because you've had enough of it...this most certainly isn't a reason to play more CoD, you'd be much better off going back to 4.
