The Eurogamer codes aren't going up until Monday.

I don't know why I want one, don't even have a Gold sub. When will the damn PC codes get dished out!

Link? I'm reading the thread on their forum and that has not been said at all. Everyone's in the dark about it.

They haven't arrived yet, so therefore it now won't be any earlier than Monday morning.

Stupid marketing **** as usual - it's going to get to the point where games which really do need public playtests before release will see no interest because "beta" is so common. :fp:

But the core structure of multiplayer section is different across all the games so each needs to be tested seperately. They've always done this just now more companies are holding public betas as opposed to closed ones.

Of course things need testing, but using joe public to do it is shocking. Can you imagine if a car manufacturer decided to ask someone to test their airbags for them because they can't afford to pay someone to do it properly?

They're not testing gameplay and balance they're testing server capacity.

Call of Duty 5 beta early next week

Blog entry by Tom Bramwell

Activision has been in touch to tell us that the Call of Duty 5 Xbox 360 multiplayer beta will begin early next week.

Eurogamer will have thousands of keys to give out as soon as it does, but you will need to be a registered user to grab one.

You can sign up elsewhere on Eurogamer - it costs nothing and you get lots of great benefits, like, well, access to stuff like this.

Look out for more on the COD5 beta - including our impressions - soon after it launches next week.

You really should actually read the email. It's NOT the Beta Code. :fp:

It's a code to download an exclusive theme, and a link to get that theme and register you for the REAL Beta code.

I know! But I can't register my email to receive a beta code now.

I'll just use Eurogamer.
