Just got back from the hospital. Apparently she has cancer thats spread to her liver, but they don't know where from yet until more scans come in. They're doing a biopsy either today or tomorrow. The specialist said they won't know how long she has for a few weeks until the results come back, but the term used was "this will shorten your life, we just don't know how much by yet".

No idea what the strawberry float I'm going to do.

My heart goes out to you Victor, that is utterly devastating news and a literal nightmare. Try to take it one day at a time for now, focus on the present moment as horrible and as difficult as that is.

I am so so sorry.

That's really gooseberry fool Ad, especially knowing how slow the professionals were to initially pay any interest, but I know they'll be doing everything they can now.

I hope you get more clarity over the coming days, and maybe even some more positive news.

I'm thinking of you Ad, I can't imagine what you and your wife are going through. I hope you get some good news in the next few days.

Sorry to hijack the thread, I'm just incapable of speaking about it at the moment so typing put helps.

Adding to a chorus, I am truly sorry to hear this Ad.

Don't feel bad about hijacking the thread also. That's what it is there for.

No need to be sorry, the whole point of this thread is so we can voice how we feel and get a bit of support. You have supported and helped plenty of us here and I am sure I speak for pretty much everyone when I say if we can be here for you in even the smallest of ways then we are here for you.

Your loved man and this thread is to help whichever one of us is in need.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Ad. I imagine the wait for results will be excruciating so try and look after each other as best you can. And please lean on us as much as you need to.

I tried to tell my nan about it earlier and she asked if I had anyone with me, then said she's going to get a lift down to keep me company

Oh mate Ad, that is literally a nightmare no one wants to deal with. I know it sounds daft but look after yourself mate, make sure you're eating and keeping up with rest as much as possible so you don't get too strung out.

If we can help with absolutely strawberry floating anything, let us know.
Even if it's getting deliveroo to drop milk round, or if you need help with money or anything. Sounds cheesy, but we're family here, so we'll look out for you.

Much love to you mate, reach out if you need to
