The detroyed landscape nature of the game is worrying me, oblivion was so awesome because if its beautiful organic environments, the wastelands in fallout 3 look plain ugly.

This is now a 'maybe purchase', I have a feeling it is going to bomb in reviews. :?

Calm down, I hadn't watched them myself yet. Labelled the top one before I read this.
The lead-up to leaving the vault in the first vid makes it pretty clear what is about to happen too, plenty of time to switch it off.

I was commenting about the Megaton one...I had already seen the vault/leaving the vault in the Playr special a few weeks ago.

Still, good find mate. :)

Very happy with the VA so far, the sheriff in the Megaton video is hilarious.

That last vid - Can't wait to see how that all pans out. This will be one of the GOTY contenders.

I have a feeling this is actually going to surpass Oblivion in the brilliance scale. Bethesda has come under a lot of flack from the Fallout die-hards and they have quite a bit to prove, more so that they had with Oblivion. This is their chance to introduce Fallout not only to a hole new audience but to shut up those rabid fanboys and bring Fallout into the next generation. What I saw of those videos was immense and the last week of October can't come fast enough for me. As regards to the landscape, I can actually appreciate that desolate wasteland look. Indeed it has a certain beauty to it and the detail looks to be quite astonishing with the destroyed buildings. For me at least this has the STRONG potential to be the game of the strawberry floating year!

It's set after a nuclear war that wiped the country off of the map. Considering the game is set in and around the capital of America, it's safe to say it would have been pretty badly hit. A lack of vegetation seems quite understandable in this context, the wasteland 'look' is very much a defining element of the series.

But yes, I also feel they should add lots of pretty vegetation to make it look more pleasant...

I am worried everything is going to look too 'samey', the game mechanics might be decent (the shooting looks good enough) but if the game is not nice to look at it might spoil the enjoyment.

Me too, I do recognise a couple of those voices but it wouldn't be a Bethesda game without them :P
Love the Power Fist.

Fallout 3 by a long shot. Mind you that's only based on the ridiculously retarded title - "Infinite Undiscovery". What the hell is that?!!

Couldn't agree more.

A world of grey, even if it is post-apocalyptic and meant to be that way, will just get kind of dull...

Gears of War was more or less the same, and it didn't stop that being great.
