Wait, you like Halo Wars, but not the rest of the franchise?

Yeah, what I can I say, I thought it was pretty fun game. It controlled well given the limitations of the input and I liked the single player campaign. Not the most balanced RTS game, I'll admit.

I've played ODST and Halo 3. Neither really excited me on any level. I'll give Reach a play whenever it's cheaper to get, not really expecting anything stellar however.

The original's campaign is easily the best of the series and 3's is probably the best from the games this generation. It might be worth waiting for the port of the original but if you're not much of a fan just wait until it's cheap.

I don't think it's crap but Halo has always seemed over-hyped to me. Massively over-hyped.

Do the majority of people really love Partners in Time? I remember the general reception being that while the game was good it was no Superstar Saga.

Yeah, that's what I felt the general reaction was.

It had a lot of annoying features that didn't live up to Superstar Saga.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely open to trying them out. I never got into the multiplayer and I guess that's the biggest draw.

Gears of War.

Tried both games. Twice. Just boring OTT macho bullshit, lots of folk at work are obsessed with it, can't figure out why.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past- It's not that I thought it was bad I just could never get into it. I think the furthest I've ever got is the Swamp Temple.

Morrowind- Again I just could not get into it. That might have something to do with the fact I played it for the first time after Oblivion (which I loved) and it felt drastically different. Having to pass skill checks to be promoted in guilds was the final straw.

Every Halo game- Now these really are bad. One of the most overrated series I've ever played both in singleplayer and multiplayer. Singleplayer in particular is so dull, dull enemies, dull guns, dull levels. Also it appears to be one of the first games to institute the "two guns only" rule so it deserves to be vilified.

Metroid Prime 3- Mainly for the controls which I hated but those terrible other hunters annoyed me too and there was never a feeling of isolation like there was in the original Prime.

That's not true though. It's definitely the case with most FPSs, but CoD is far more forgiving in my experience. I only started CoD4 about a year after release, and had no problems getting into it.

Same.

Halo

It's just so boring and the single player is utter bollocks.

Red Dead Redemption.

Just couldn't get into it. It was like a slower, more boring GTA with a main character so self-righteous my teeth ground themselves everytime he expressed an opinion and missions so boring I couldn't be bothered doing most of them. It was a strawberry floating gorgeous game there's no doubt about it, but I tried so hard to get into in and was thwarted at every turn.

It remains the only game I've ever traded in.

It was cool when no one had an Xbox. Now everyone has it it's cool to hate it.
