I feel remorse every month when I pay my rent.

We are not rich at all. Tbh my friend isn't very well and thats probably why he developed a thing for sound quality and spent that much money and maybe his parents just give him the money coz of his health. Very sad :(

Wow that is a lot for a PS3. How many games did you get with it?

none lol

speechless LOL but wasn't the actual console going for £500 at launch anyway?

One of my friends really shocked me though.
He bought a pair of in ear headphones for just over £1000. Ultimate ear ones that have multiple drivers and are moulded to your ear. He had to go to a local ear place and get the moulds made. Hence the huge cost. He then used it with his ipod but now its broken and there is no warranty left and its going to cost a few hundred pounds to repair so hes retired them for something else. I can't believe he spent over a grand on a pair of in ear phones and he was a student at the time.

I can't believe he used £1K earphones on a friggin iPod! Should have got an iRiver or the like if he was that anal about sound quality.

Yes I heard ipods and iphones don't really have good sound quality. But unfortunately most people buy them even though the Sony and iriver ones are similar or less in price.

I remember those days thought it was a lot cheaper back then.

People paying nearly a grand monthly must feel sick spending that on an essential.

Since I got my iphone I have stopped using my ipod classic 80gb. I have gotten use to just having 16GB to use. I find that I only have to upload and remove certain songs from itunes instead of having everything on it. I have one or two movies on it too depending on what I like to watch at the time. So I really don't need to carry around something with so much memory.
I would like a different music player but I am so accustomed to using itunes etc that I don't think I can go to something else.

The most I've spent on a handbag is £45. And that was a Fred Perry thing for Anung.

I used to regret spending loads on cosmetics, but compared to cheaper stuff it's really worth the extra money. My moisturiser comes in at around £40 and foundation at £30. But they last ages and give such good results which make me feel much better than the cheap stuff which rubs off and leaves me self conscious after 2 hours. Though if I'm a bit tight for money I'll feel bad about buying them. I'm nearly out of both and kinda skint. Especially since that equates to nearly a weeks rent up here.

In London I was on a crackin wage and dropped money like nothing. though I was young and free and it was great fun. £15 cocktails and eating out two or three times a week. It was fine then, but now I realise a months rent up here is what I'd happily piss away on clothes in a month. :fp:

Maybe you should try to limit yourself to say 32GB and see how you get on. When I first got my iphone I use to carry my ipod with me as well but then I got used to using the iphone instead.
My 80GB classic has hardly any battery power left. I might sell it. CEX are buying them for £66. Seems like a good offer since I have had it for years and its got some dents/scratches on it. Do you know of anywhere that buys old ipods online? like those mobile phone recycling websites.

On the plus side maybe it was a good investment as the price of it has gone up to £265 on their website now.

Like these people who buy stuff they clearly can't afford, but get it on credit and are still paying it off/owing money months after buying it. :fp:

Getting in debt for a load of gooseberry fool is completely pointless. If you can afford it though, why not be flippant. No point being the richest guy in the cemetary

I got in debt to the sum of around £6000 when I was 19 buying clothes, going on holidays, etc. Best time of my life.

I like doing* and buying nice things so unfortunately they cost quite a bit of money. I think those of you that think £100+ on a coat is expensive are being extremely tight.

*No not prostitutes, I take those as cheap as they come.

I got into debt for 25k when I was 20-25, at the time thought it was the best time of my life. Turned out it was close to ruining it.

I wont spend more than £30 on a pair of jeans now, I see people spending 200 quid on a pair of jeans and I actually :fp:

As for £200 for wallet    Did it come with free money?

Lots of fakes out there too (beats I mean).

I thoroughly research anything that is gonna cost me proper cash money. As a result, I talk myself out of buying a lot of things but on the flipside have much more money left over.

My biggest regret is buying the GT5 PS3 bundle. I really wanted to play it and was devastated when it was gooseberry fool. PS3 has probably been on for a couple of hours since. Ive had it for a year :fp:

Tbf we get them 60% off at work so they'll really cost me about £80  Ive seen plenty of fakes. Some people have too much time on their hands :|

My most expensive purchase that I later came to regret was a Russian fuzzy hat with the flappies with a hammer and sickle on the front, ordered from a proper Russian website. I measured my head wrong and it's too tight to fit. :( It was about £45.

I cant do that. I need to justify the purchase.

Im currently pretending that its a bluray player, despite never actually watching blurays on it. Its the only reason I havent bought a bd drive for the PC. I dont even have any PS3 games
