99% of the things that I buy I feel guilty about afterwards. Even eating out

Exactly the same. Even Call of Duty MW3... which I knew I'd play at least an hour a day for the next year. :fp:

Think it all comes down to financial position.

I would say the same, but my wife bought it for my christmas last year. I spark up GoW, spend 10 minutes swearing at it as I've forgotten the controls, switch it off then start playing something on the PS3. Even though the PS3 has no games.

I love being Scottish.

One of the few positives in my current financial situation. Next to no student debt.

i used to feel bad after any big spend as I'd been very poor and couldn't feel comfortable spending.

I can afford now but i still a bit of a shudder at a big spend and always tend towards ensuring saving comes first.

Even now with Christmas spending i find myself looking and feeling i shouldn't spend it if it puts me below break-even month on month and that's with no debts and a couple of years salary saved up. Old habits die hard.

Doubt it, his goal record has been great and he's helped us to get in the Champions League and win the FA Cup.

Still a bellend though.

same in reverse for me for ages. never played it and felt bad but then when the one game per years came along i enjoyed i thought "sod it, why not" and relaxed about it. I just feel now that i'm bound to have a pref for third party but as long as there's something on the other to enjoy every now and then it's fine. Hell i even kept the wii and i've played nothing for years (but the wife is now playing a rental so it was worth it).

I spent £400 on a 60GB PS3 (with Resistance) when they announced they were discontinuing the backwards compatible models, given how little I've used the backwards compatibility it was ultimately unnecessary but I've never really regretted it as I've had a lot of use out of my PS3 and had it for 4 years or so now.

Also not quite the same thing but had a few nights out where I've looked at my balance the next day and realised I've spent far more than I planned to. That said, I've always spent within my means so I don't really regret any of it, most of the time I keep my spending sensible, and the only time I waste it a little bit is on fairly cheap things (like buying random snacks, drinks etc. that I don't really need). Most expensive buys (laptop, tv, pc, ps3, coats, shoes etc.) have been things I've got my moneys worth out of, so no remorse after the first 5-10 minutes when your heart sinks as you realise how much money you've just spent

Wow that is a lot for a PS3. How many games did you get with it? I know the feeling though of wanting a brand new console when it comes out.

Probably my Vox Valvetronix amp. I really don't really like the tones and wonder what the hell I saw in it pre purchase. Distortion is fizzy, sounds too 'warm'.

Although £200 for a wallet? strawberry floating ridiculous, that's like 1/5 of my monthly wage.

speechless LOL but wasn't the actual console going for £500 at launch anyway?

One of my friends really shocked me though.
He bought a pair of in ear headphones for just over £1000. Ultimate ear ones that have multiple drivers and are moulded to your ear. He had to go to a local ear place and get the moulds made. Hence the huge cost. He then used it with his ipod but now its broken and there is no warranty left and its going to cost a few hundred pounds to repair so hes retired them for something else. I can't believe he spent over a grand on a pair of in ear phones and he was a student at the time.

I can't believe he used £1K earphones on a friggin iPod! Should have got an iRiver or the like if he was that anal about sound quality.

We are not rich at all. Tbh my friend isn't very well and thats probably why he developed a thing for sound quality and spent that much money and maybe his parents just give him the money coz of his health. Very sad :(

Yes I heard ipods and iphones don't really have good sound quality. But unfortunately most people buy them even though the Sony and iriver ones are similar or less in price.
