I can't wait to play it. They sure do mention that achievement about beating the game without using a gun a lot, don't they!?

It reminds me more of Metroid Prime more than any other game (with it's First Person platforming shenanigans).

Anyone got a concrete release date for this bad boy yet?

It seems like a game that will get everyone speedrunning, which will be good to see just how good other people are at the game. Due to the nature of the game (running along, keeping momentum) I hope there is some sort of mission timer and leaderboards, could work really well? (Or are they already doing this, I don't stay on top of all this malarkey)

Mirror's Edge Features Time Trial Mode

As if our new cover for EGM wasn't enough to give it away, we're rather excited about Mirror's Edge. But when we visited developer DICE for said cover story, we found out exclusively about a new mode in the game that has us itching to get our hands on it even more. In addition to challenging us to insane, death-defying jumps, Mirror's Edge will also taunt us to complete these feats as quickly as possible in a time trial mode.

Producer Tom Ferrer explained to us that the time trial portions of Mirror's Edge will be "bite-sized and short so you can grind them and play them and get faster and faster. It's not like playing an entire level." Naturally, you'll be able to upload your fastest time for each section to online leaderboards, and you can even download ghost data that appears in the game as a stylish red silhouette showing how other people completed the task.

New vid interview - http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39304.html

As each week passes this becomes more and more appealing. Any multiplayer?

That was not very impressive,

"we're going to show you some alternate routes today!"

*jumps up a box instead of wall running across the gap*

Great demo guys, now how about you show more then than same those two levels over and over.

This all looks terribly dull and the artstyle is a tad too sterile for my liking. Not much going on in the world either is there?

It's cocktail time!. Then again when isn't it.

This game looks brilliant, as a graphic designer the style of it all really appeals to me, it's slick and clean looking, the whole thing just looks totally original.

This still looks worryingly linear. It may take a somewhat fresh approach to the FP genre, but I've yet to be convinced of its greatness. Hopefully we'll see more of the game in the near future that begins to fulfil the promise of the original idea.

PC Specs

ActionTrip’s posted minimum PC specs for Mirror’s Edge, and there’s nothing in there to make your brain bleed. Quite restrained, in fact.

* OS: Windows XP or Vista
* CPU: Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz / Athlon 64 2800+
* RAM: 1GB
* GFX card: GeForce 6 Series with 256MB VRAM or higher, or ATI X1650 (or HD2400)

Game’s out for PC, 360 and PS3 before the end of the year.

Maybe you'll get to play as Yoda or something.
