Downloaded this for free with Plus, been playing through the single player campaign the past few days and it's definitely my surprise game of the year.

I know the game is over a year old, and I was meaning to pick it up somewhere along the line after enjoying the demo when it came out. But what I'm most surprised at is how enjoyable the 'Festival' mode of the game is. I wouldn't say I'm a racing game fan, not unless you count Mario Kart and the odd games of PGR2 online back in the day, I very rarely ever put time into the campaign mode of a racing game.

In fact, even past Motorstorm games couldn't hold my attention for long. But with Apocalypse I think they've really injected a tonne of fun into not just racing , but actually having fun surviving the city as it quakes & blows up around you. I love that with the turn of every lap the track might transform so a path you might have taken for the first two laps or so have now been torn apart, or a giant ferris wheel is now hurdling towards you.

Top job Evolution, I look forward to seeing what they pull off with the next gen.

So, been playing this a bit after picking it up from Plus (love you    ), I seriously think this is the best racing game I have ever played! The likes of Gran Turismo and Forza be damned, the races in this are truly epic. LOVE IT!

I will never have as much fun with online gaming than I did with Pacific Rift. Ever. It was one of a kind.

Some of my personal highlights.

Who still has the game? We have to give it a send off before it goes.

Due to Motorstorm Monday I'm guessing Pacific Rift was probably my most played game of the generation. Plenty of good times, we really should try and find another racer to play. Preferably on PC because thats all I have now. :shifty:

Memories. Sad to see it getting shut down. I'd totally join in with a last hurrah game if I still had my PS3.

I think you're confusing Pacific Rift with the new one.
We have to go back to PR before the shutdown, surely?

Are you getting this confused with Apocalypse, the newest game?
