I've included percentages aswell which show the percentage of your budget spent. Thought I was going to be the worst, but fortunately Rik managed to spend an unbelievable amount of money this year, having set the joint highest budget and managing to spend over 4 times his budget.

Although I've set myself a higher budget for 2010 at £500, it's still less than half of what I spent this year so is going to be a challenge. I think I set my budget far too low this year as I'd never kept track of my spending before.

Yep, well done...although in the end I didn't manage to really change my spending at all, its been good keeping track of it all the same.

If I hadn't bought a PS3, then I would have only been £27 over budget, which is pretty good IMO.

Nice job Col. Looking back on this year, it really hasn't been my sort of gaming hence a relative simple spend. Though Street Fighter & MW2 more than made up for that

Well I've upped my budget for next year by half, obviously that still leaves me with a good £1200 to cut somewhere. I'll set out to do that, but really who knows where we'll be by the end of the year.

I've learned that I spend far more than I thought on games, £20 here and there doesn't seem a lot but over a year it has obviously added up to a substantial amount, £5,000 is pretty shocking to be honest as I honestly thought it would be nearer £2,500 at the most.

Ok my PC purchase made it far worse than a normal year and I got a load of retail PC games as well as 100 games on Steam in six months :lol:

I will do better this year, I could have taken the family on a cruise for that amount of cash.

I've stickied the new thread, so I'll have to unsticky this one now or the top will end up quite cluttered!

I stopped posting in this thread after I failed miserably at this. It wasn't games that I bought, but peripherals that shot me way over my budget. I failed miserably. On the other hand, I DID buy less games meaning this year will see me get what I wanted last year for dirt cheap.
