Oh yeah, I've also just cancelled my Games TM subscription and will be cancelling my EDGE subscription in a couple of months when it expires.

Think I need to go back to writing music again. That should also stop me from spending too much on games.

******* hell.

Its not that difficult.

£21 worth of Wii points (Cubello, Orbient, World of Goo and tomorrow SoM).
£18 worth of MS points (Meteos Wars and Rock Band tracks).
£7.99 for Soldner-X
£17.99 for Sam & Max: Season One.
£17.99 for Tomb Raider.
£4.99 for Odin Sphere.
£4.99 for OutRun 2006 C2C on PC.
£12.48 for Ferrari Challenge.

Plus I'm sure before the end of the year I'll be buying more games, probably at least another £50s worth (although I do actually have stuff to trade in that might cover most of it) in the sales.

I'm doing well so far. Not spent any of my budget yet! By this time last year I think I'd already spent £145 importing Rock Band on the PS3.

I'm going to tery my best to keep within this limit too.

I'm not buying another game until KZ2 and Halo Wars come out and i'mplanning to buy nothing at launch this year. Not hard to wait a month for a price drop so that's what I'll do.

I'm going to let myself actually enjoy the stack I have before buying more for a change.

Hmmm. Last year there was MGS4, GTA4 and LittleBigPlanet which were day one purchases, and hence full price purchases. I don't have any yet on my list for 2009 that can't wait for a price drop while I clear my considerable backlog...

When I will jump into this, I don't think I'm going to limit myself to £300. Maybe...£100 a month at best. I've just realised that if I've waited, the games will be dropping their prices - and there's bargains to use.

Also, I really should at least go through my backlog of games and at least finish em before buying new games. Should be hard challenge but I can try. Rock Band (1 or 2, not sure which) will be exception, as I'm saving up both two months to get RB.

Same here. After paying £38 for Fallout 3 & Fable 2 on launch day, only to find weeks later that you get both for £40, I'm not getting any more at launch.

Wait until the price drops & shop around - thats gonna be my modus operandi for 2009.

I can never keep track of how much I've spent as I'm always chucking things on eBay.

Out of the games I'll probably keep then about 100 quid, I think, on Halo 3, GTA4, Gears 2, Fable 2 and Fallout 3.

PoP will probably get eBayed shortly after completion. :P

I've limited myself to a game a month now for a while. In the later half of this year the only retail games I got where LBP & Buzz, although it's a lot easier nowadays because my flatmate has a 360. I got Rachet & Clank for Xmas but don't intend to play that until LBP is cleared.

My only problem with spending money on games now is the PlayStation Network. Being able to buy games from my living room and be playing them within a few minutes is certainly a temptation! Wipeout HD was an instant buy once I played the demo a few days ago. £12 for a game like that was just too much of a bargain to ignore!

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Er... If you are spending at least 100 per month, then your limit would have been £1,200? ;)

My target is £300. But I plan to wait out for price cuts, then when I've finished with the game(s) I trade the bloody thing in. There's no point of me keeping all the games that I love, only to NEVER play them at all again.

Unless it's special.

Yes, £1,200. :P Nah there's been months where I've spent like way over £200+ (which is alot for me at this stage), which is rather nasty if you think about it. Well I do trade in games but I plan to stop that, unless I know I won't be playing it again anytime soon then I'll gladly to trade it in.

£100 a month seems ideal, there'll be few months where I won't be buying game at all unless it's at bargain price (like FarCry 2 Collectors Edition @ GAME for only £30)

Its all sales stuff (and FE of course) and I did actually trade in GH3 for some of that stuff.

Probably won't buy another game till Race 07 at the end of the month (if its out then) and after that I'm not sure, there doesn't seem to be as much about at the start of this year as there was last year.

I've spent about £475 on games this year, and that includes a 360 Premium for £250.

Doesn't include XBLA games though, of which I have a few. They come to about £88.40, not including Rock Band DLC. gooseberry fool. :|
