Nintendo Press Conference Thread - Summary page 1.

I genuinely don't know what I'm looking forward to most! 3DS, Zelda, The Last Story (I hope to god we at least see this in video form during a montage) or Time Travelers (Level 5, presumed 3DS game).

I hope The Last Story and XENOBLADE get western release dates.

This is confusing having two threads each for Sony and Microsoft. Shouldn't the conference threads be locked until closer to the time or something?

I'm surprised there are no leaks so far.

If Nintendo are amazing at once thing, it's stopping leaks.

I remember NSMBWii being leaked last year from photos on the shop floor showing the display under sheets.

That was kind of different though, it's not a new peice of hardware.

Minish Cap leaked one year, as people seen the display before the conference. Nintendo put sheets over their displays so that wouldn't happen again, but NSMBWii leaked so that didn't work. Nintendo now only allow the staff to assemble their booth blindfolded.

Can't wait to see the 3DS!

Maybe the 3DS hardware design isn't final yet, I can't see it being over here this year.

Am I missing something about 3DS? Not saying it doesn't sound interesting, but is there more info about other than the initial nintendo press release? All this excitement makes me feel like i've missed out on a dozen exciting news updates on the device. Or are we still just at the stage of "nintendo announced a DS with 3d screens to be revealed at E3?"

It's all done in Peach's castle behind closed doors, if you know what I mean.

There isn't any new information, the excitement is just coming from the fact it's a brand new handheld. It's going to be the console Nintendo, and a lot of other people, make games for over the next five years. It's the unveiling of a brand new online service, that will decide if 3DS games will have good or bad online capabilities, and it'll also show the next wave of Nintendo's downloadable games service. Then there could be a lot of other features we don't even know about yet (We didn't know about touch before the DS reveal, for instance).

It's like wondering "A sequel to the Game Boy, why are people being excited about that?" before the reveal of the Game Boy Advance back in 2000, or being confused that people are excited that the PS4/Xbox3 is going to be revealed. The excitement is simply coming from the possibilities of the reveal.
