Well things quietened down this bank holiday weekend didn't they?

Let's get this game back on track. I withdraw my previous rule proposal, and propose the following new rule:

THE SIX-POINT 'MOVE THE GAME FORWARD' RULE

i) Rules 6, 10, 16 and 18, as they exist at the time of this rule being passed, are struck out entirely.

ii) The punishment for editing a post is that the guilty player's entire Forum Doubloons instantly become the property of the bank (unless that player has fewer than zero at the time, in which case they gain five Euros).

iii) The Aberrations win the game if their combined Forum Doubloon total is greater than double the total of the Investigators.

iv) An individual wins the game outright if they have 100 more Forum Doubloons than any other player.

v) No win condition can be met by any player or team if they or any member of their team possess any Euros.

vi) There can exist no more than 40 rules at any one time.
If more than 40 rules exist at any point, then all Forum Doubloons and Euros in possession by any player at that time become the possession of the bank.
At the end of each day when more than 40 rules exist, all Forum Doubloons and Euros in possession by any player become the possession of the bank, unless the number of rules is reduced to 40 or fewer before the end of the day.

It’s not perfect, but we can make edits later on. For now, let’s get this game shifting.

I’m also going to withdraw my previous alteration and suggest the following new PROPOSAL: THE TIME CONDITION

If all members on a team do not post in-thread for 72h, that team loses the game and cannot win. If the Aberrations lose the Investigators win by default and vice versa. All teams are assumed to have spoken at the time of this rule being passed (so no team can lose through this rule until three days after it has been passed).

Finally, I will for the foreseeable future only be voting for:

• People who vote for both the above two rules, or
• People who suggest rules/amendments with similar functionality to the above two rules (or a mix of both), or
• Amendments to the Investigators’ wincon that remove team-switching, or
• Any rule giving the Aberrations a five-point power, to stop anyone conducting an investigation being automatically cleared

and will vote against any other suggestions, no matter how much I like them. This game’s slowed right down and needs a kick up the jacksie, and unfortunately rules renaming Dan won’t achieve that. (Which reminds me, I still have a renaming in the bank...)

- Rule limit is no fun (and can be easily abused with rules EXACTLY like this one)
- Getting rid of rules is no fun and loses the haphazard record of the game that is the ruleset
- People with no doubloons can get infinite euros through editing
- One rule proposal at any time makes the game easier to follow
- Make these individual rules

Just spotted a typo in my last post and was halfway through an edit before I realised the mistake I was making!

The irony of losing all my Doubloons making an edit to the post which ratified the punishment for editing!

That said my hatred of typos is so strong that it pains me to see an error still sitting there in my post - it's almost worth the Doubloons hit!

The targeted player will be in a corrupted state for the next 48 hours. Any investigations (see rule 22) made against a corrupted player will return as showing them in the Aberrations team, regardless of their true team alignment.
