I thought BOR was gonna do the honours? It just doesn't feel right without him as the OP. :(

Aye, we said we'd let BOR do the thread.

Whilst I'm here, I'm going to miss the race on Sunday. Am I able to watch the whole thing online after the race or will it be just race highlights. TV schedule only says highlight re-runs.

think it will just be the highlights they only re-run the whole race when it's on in the morning as far as i know.

I didn't know you had all promised BOR the rights to start the new thread, never thought to check the old forum just thought i'd make before the first practice session tomorrow morning.

Didn't mean to come across as a c*** (is it banned on here? Even when calling yourself one!?), maybe the thread can be handed over to BOR, by a mod?

Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow. Who knows which cars will perform? Can't wait.

So it is. Here's a virtual lap.
Looks a bit narrow to me.
Going through that bridge is cool though.

I like the industrial setting, and the bridge should provide a fresh look.

 Someone just got onto the track at the start of Friday Practice 2. Marshalls/police had to keep him away from running towards Fisi's Force India.

Watching it now on ITV-f1.com. Looks like a cross between Melbourne and Montreal. It all looks very nice, but so far I can't see any spots for overtaking. Hope I'm wrong.

Just looking at this track now, anyone else think it's visually incredibly boring?

It reminds me of something from IndyCar where they rush through a bunch of sun-kissed but very bland streets.

It does remind me of the Indy Car street circuits, which is why I love the look!

I just don't think there is anywhere to overtake. Just saw it flash on screen that Nando will be investigated for something after practice.

EDIT: Looks like he cut over the chevrons on the entrance to the pitlane. Last I knew that wasn't against the rules. I hope he doesn't get a penalty for that. :?

EDIT 2: With the bridge it reminds me of the Delfino track in Mario Kart.

Well I hope he gets away with it as otherwise the rules are becoming a tad shite. To penalise him for it would just be absolutely mental.

I watched most of the practice and still can't see any overtaking spots. :(

FFS. That virtual lap made it pretty evident there aren't any overtaking spots. The track is brand new isn't it? How could they strawberry float it up so badly!!? :fp:
