I hope it isn't a fast car.

For 2 grand it's not going to be great.

In 8-9 years of buying online, I have never suffered from fraud. The other day I had to have my card cancelled as someone had tried to purchase a £30 O2 top up voucher with it. I have no idea if this is related to shopto, but my card details were registered on their site so who knows, but it's the only lead I have. Barclays were very good though and I have had a replacement card within 2 days. I will never shop at shopto again.

He might be able to get a second hand mint condition Ford Capri. They were pretty fast in 1980.

I had a dodgy transaction go through not so long ago. I check my account online regularly and noticed it, went into Barclays and I've got a new card now. I have used ShopTo in the past, but not for a few months as I had an email from them saying that they have removed my card details due to me not using them for three months or something.

It was for 1 EUR, probably a test to see if the account is active and working. I closed that mother before there was any chance of a second strike for a larger amount.

Went in today to check my balance and I have also had my Barclays card used to buy a £30 O2 top up, I have bought something from shopto but I can't remember what card I used and I'm pretty sure I didn't say for it to save my details. Interesting that all the top-ups seem to be on Barclay accounts.

That is a very curious coincidence.

By the way the guy I spoke to was talking, Barclay's have had a lot of people reporting the same thing recently.

I haven't had any issues at all with Shopto but decided it'd be better to be safe than sorry and canceled my debit card that they had stored.

I reported it lost and got HSBC to send a new one out.

Thats the same as my Natwest card a month or so ago, Natwest actually rang me up the day it was charged to query it. So it must be pretty common at the moment, I don't think you can automatically assume it has anything to do with Shopto inparticular though.

ShopTo never accept my debit card anymore, always fails the test payment, which means I've not bought stuff there that I would have otherwise. I've never had problems with ShopTo before, so whilst it's a shame to hear about all this happening, I can't say I want to use a company which is going to end up leaking my details.

Yeah I'm not sure it was shopto related, I need to double check my receipts and see what card I used to pay.

I checked my details online and there no large payments I can't remember making. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to stealing from me yet. :(

I did it because someone in Hungary withdrew £900 off my credit card that had been cloned.

Any other questions cupcake? :|

Better to be safe than sorry by getting rid of the card before trouble happens but you've just lost 900 quid? The two stories don't stack up.

I should have said that that was an unrelated incident.

I've never used my credit card at Shopto, Marbles told me it was cloned at a cash point.

One.

Why cancel your debit card if your credit card was the one to be cloned?

Unless you used both on Shopto, which means that's conclusive proof that they did indeed leak peoples details & then lied about it.

I'm positively disgusted by Shopto's behaviour in this matter, instead of admitting that they did have a leak & let customers know that should contact their banks to cancel their cards, they angrily refused all claims of a leak and quietly patched it up hoping it would just go away.

Why would I lie you strawberry floating prick?

Marbles have even told me it was cloned at a machine.

I cancelled my debit card because when you have £900 stolen from you you get paranoid about your other cards too.

Now do me a favour and strawberry float off, thanks.
