2D Sonic games had a distinct feel though.

That was called a "Mega Drive Joypad".

That was called "MCN being a smartarse for being a smartarse's sake, even though he completely understood what you meant".

I imagine they'll fix that before launch.

How about some feedback rather than just how long you had to wait?

Does it still feel wrong when you suddenly stop motion and fall to the ground when running and jumping, then letting go of the control stick? What version were you playing, was it the e3 version?

Sucks you had to wait an hour to play the game, not worth it imo, I only waited two minutes at Japan Expo.

Oh and Andrew, that level was taken out and made an iPhone/Pad exclusive.

Well I only played the first act, but based on that even, it felt like Dimps/SEGA had fixed most the gameplay issues. I think it was the E3 version probably.

Wish they had more Sonic 4 booths though, as there were only 2 booths for Sonic 4 at Summer of Sonic :fp:, and also its about time they release a demo on XBLA/PSN.

So they've gotten rid of crap like that falling animation everytime you run up a ramp?

Nope, that's still in there and it's not just the animation, you're in a vunrable state, so you can take damage. No more spin dashing up ramps and landing on things while curled up in the ball. I really hate the new physics and lack of momentem, it's a good game in it's own rights but it doesn't feel like Sonic you're controlling.

So the lead platform for this game is iPhone
What they did was they kept the iPhone version closer to the original and they went back to the console version and changed some stages to be better playable on console. That's the reason behind the delay and the extension in the development schedule.
