/played will tell you how long you've played on that particular character, I think. So you'll need to enter the same command for all your characters and add it all up.

Seems I've played just over 60 hours of this.
As stated before, this is my first experience with the genre, and to be truthful, I'm not really sure that i'm really enjoying it that much. I want to accept and complete every mission I come across, which is my own fault I guess. I suppose I'm a bit OCD. However it really is a bit dull. It's nowhere near as immersive as Skyrim, the story for the Jedi Sentinel is a bit dull, as are the characters. I also seem to be spending most of my time traversing with the map overly on screen. The quests are all tedious fetch/kill/scan a certain number of items/creatures.
Perhaps I've just hit a wall, but if all MMO's are like this then it just isn't the genre for me. I'll keep my sub for one month (the game was a Christmas gift), just to max out my character, but then I reckon I'll cancel it.
In Skyrim I never once felt bored. The story, characters and game world were fun. This though....I was actually yawning as I was traversing from point a-b.

Yet you played it for 60 hours - at least you gave it a helluva fair amount of time

Like I stated, it's my OCD factor. I'm starting to suspect that the entire genre is prosperous due to players who suffer from this.

Oh without a doubt

In my vanilla WoW days I used to do every single quest that popped up, then in later years I realised it was actually quicker to skip; a lot of the quests. I'm doing the same in ToR hough, doing every quests that pops up, knowing that it'd be quicker to drop some quests, but just can't drop em

I won't lie, I only got to level 80 on WoW because I kept coming back, play for two months, have a break, then come back and stick to the one character. I loved WoW end game I just find the leveling really boring. I really cba with tor though so I cancelled.

The level treadmlll is simultaneously the best and worst part of any MMO.

I love exploring the game world and combat and stuff its just the nature of it that I kinda find boring. I love the zones in World of Warcraft, I found them all really interesting and aesthetically the games graphic design is up there. One of my favourite early zones was always Westfall, just really liked the sun atmosphere and farming setting. If I partner up with a friend I find the level process much more enjoyable, did about 40 levels with my friend in two days on WoW but none of my friends wanted to play ToR and it seems to force you to solo everything anyway (it only seems to encourage grouping for dungeons, heroics and raids). Also I imagine because everyone has their own class story you'd have to pick a similar class at the start anyway.

You should just ignore those posts and talk about your view of the game then, like everyone else is doing. I think it's pretty important that people know what is going on with a product that they've spent money on. Not that I care how you spend your money, but these pictures are based on something real and not just made up.

Sense of humour, man, sense of humour.

Also, I'm still waiting on a GRuild invite. But my sub has expired and I'm going to wait maybe a couple of days or so before I active the first time card.

It's difficult to get anything rolling because at least 50% of our founding membership insists on creating characters with awkward accents in their names that the game interface seems to hate.

Don't we all need to be online and groupd together to start the guild up though - not really sure on how to get it started (attemtped it but never r wead the rules properly)

I'm loving my Trooper, I can see there being a wall but he's still completely overpowered (crafting my own gear as well seeing as not one piece of equipment given from quests or drops has betterd it) - grouping with team mates my damage output and defensive is head an shoulder above them - a lot more fun playing hutball as a defence, sitting on ledges gunning away

The thing about troopers is the heat. At roughly the same time as you have to stop firing, most of the other classes are just starting to hit their stride.

Well, except the operative, of course, who is apparently nigh useless now (though, that's just forum hearsay, I don't know what it's like in practice).

If we're gonna get this guild rolling tonight, I shall re-activate my account this evening solely for that purpose.
