I think I may have to sign up this year. Seeing as the wife is signed off work for the next nine months my salary will be the only income so the budget will be tight. I think £50 a month might get me through ok. £600 please.

Sign me up please. I'll try to stick to £500 for the year. Didn't keep track last year, but I'm thinking I must have been around £600.

I'm trying to decide if I should include BluRays in my budget, with them being a PS3-related purchase. :?:

I'd like to enter this year. Being a tight-arse I've set a budget of £100. Take £3.19 off that now for Noby Noby Boy

Can I enter the race please?

Well last year I roughly spent £350 (maybe more but I sold a few things), now this year I can't see myself my another console... saying that if there was an Xbox slim with Natal I may purchase that, bah!

Ok, going for a budget of £450. But really don't want to spend more than £300.... No, put mon a budget of £400

£400, confirmed

Can you put me down for £250 please.

I'm not going to Include hardware due to the fact I'm considering getting a PSP sometime in the near future and it will put 50% of my budget down the drain before the year has even properly started.

What? The point is to keep track of your spending. If you don't want to include hardware in that total then thats up to you.

Can I up my limit to £2250.

Cheers.

Anyway, first spend of the year...

Hugo Stiglitz (aka Chalkitclown)

£2250

Professor Layton and the Curious Village - £29
Professor Layton and Pandora's Box - £29
Nintendo DSi - £70 (had a few vouchers)
Wolfenstein PS3 - £16
Demon's Souls - £48

New Balance - £2074

I take it we don't have to include iPhone game purchases? :)

So spending £100+ on a console is what, a throwaway purchase? To play these games you need to buy a console, of course it counts. Every gaming related purchase needs to be added, period. Whether it be control pads, points and subscriptions, they all count

 :fp: Yes, it all counts!

So, in other words, not keeping track of your spending.

:fp:

The only purchases that should not be included are Blu-Ray films. I know Agent47 is considering that but it's nothing to do with gaming.

No. Go back and read the first post.

Its up to each individual person what they do and don't want to include, for whatever reason.

Then what is the point of this topic if you can choose what you include in a list? Tha's like me going, 'I've just bought five games but I'll only include two because the others I won't play for ages'

So you can keep track of what you want to keep track of.
