I find Killzone 2 to be aesthetically very good looking, and I still think its the best looking console FPS (but, you are right it certainly is not the best looking console game). Those screenshots I took really doesn't do it justice, since I just took them with a 5 year old digital camera during gameplay. I love the varied colour pallet found throughout the game. The lighting really is fantastic and the Helgahst look wonderful in a Nazi space fascist kind of way.

I've played the game, so I know what it looks like.

Personally I'd say Bulletstorm does more for me graphically than Killzone 3 does. Like I said, its not a technical thing, its just that Killzone is so damn dreary looking.

Fair enough, I think Bulletstorm is gorgeous too. Personally I find that there is something beautiful about destroyed urban environments, so games like Killzone 2 & 3 and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games just appeal to me more.

Yeah i know... i did for a bit... but it does give me some performance issues, occasional dropped frames etc... so for smoother fps I'd rather have it off or down to 2X

brer if you have a 16:10 monitor, check the steam forums for a guide for custom res. For some reason the game hates 16:10

I disagree, I think KZ3 is just that little but sharper and the brighter colour palette helps loads. Having said that KZ2 is still a stunner!
