I can't move around the house without tripping over sealed games at the moment, I think i need to play this game/join this self help group to track my spending and hopefully 2011 won't end up with me pushing a stack of sealed games under the bed. Heavy Rain, Splinter Cell, Red Dead, God of War 3, Lost Odyssey, Valkyria Chronicles, Just Cause 2, Kane and Lynch 2, Halo Reach, Little King's Story, Assassin's Creed II and all of your plastic coated friends will get a look in next year!

I'm going to set an achieveable target of £500 because I don't want to fail but I think I can beat that by some distance as my must buy list just now only includes F1 2011, Skyward Sword, LA Noire and Dirt 3 and that could end up being under £100. I am hamm sandwich, I have no Christmas alias

I'm thinking of setting myself a little limitation of not buying a new game within a month of it being released in the quest for ultimate thriftiness.

Once again 2010 has seen software prices drop quickly within a short space of time and at Xmas every chart game was less than £20 somewhere online.

The only downside to this is missing out on launch events when everyone hammers a new game during the first couple of weeks.

Thoughts?

Put me down for £500. I'm out of a job in about three months time so hopefully I'll be able to stick to my total this year. :)

I'll see if I can stick to £600. Which will probably crack and crumble if I end up trying to build a new PC.

Going to go for a reasonable £200. Already got my Live membership sorted, so that doesn't need worrying about.

I'm in for £300 in 2011.

Should be doable as I've got such a backlog to get through.

I will go with £400 too. I am going to be selling a hell of a lot this year so that should aid this, Microsoft points are my biggest killer thesedays as I didn't buy a single full price game last year.

As if you are going to manage a £1500 budget this year. At least I've set myself a realistic target.

I'm actually going to try and make an effort to stick to it rather than just tracking what I've spent.

Gonna join in on this! Give myself a 1k budget.

So far, bought Mass Effect 2, but cost nothing. So still £1k left!

This year I plan to buy no videogames at all until I've finished the ones I have, which will take a long time, all year hopefully.

I'd put my limit on £0, but to be realistic I'll set my limit to £150, in case I have to get a new controller, the usual unresistable Steam deal comes out, or I simply see a game I MUST own in the next 12 months.

So:

Sputnik - £150
