I believe Photek was offended because you listed FIFA's Republic of Ireland standing.

For some reason, this riled him so much, He then posted the Germany/England score as some form of comeback at what he perceived as a massive slight against him and his country of Origin.

His next post will now state that he wasn't offended, and it will probably contain at least 2 smilies to empathise this point.
