I'd wager that it's b, personally.

The question was "who would you prefer at City", not "who do you think City will sign". If Messi was an option he'd probably have 100% of the vote.

Most of the comments on the Torres article say he's injury-prone as well.

Only possible explanations:

a) Torres is so strawberry floating injury prone.
b) the readers know Torres won't join City anyway (until they're playing CL footie at least).
c) Dzeko is younger?
d) Because he's strawberry floating gash, and if you've got endless pits of money, you'd want to spend it on somebody great.

Yeah I get that, but there are probably loads of clubs out there that would have been willing to stump up some cash for him, just seems a bit odd to let him leave for nothing. It's not like he'd been there for 10 years so they did it out of a show of loyalty or anything like that.
