I shall take the small silver medallion.
It reminds me of the one that my father gave me before he took his leave to fight on the battlefield. T'was stolen though! Stolen by murderous bandits!

It shall be my token of luck, whether or not it will grant such luck we shall see.. I'm prepared for badluck though, HAHAHAHA!

Sorry guys, only just got the 'net today. I PM'ed my character name, which is Louis Valois.

And considering my conservative values, I'll take the crucifix please. All I need is Christ and my sword to slay my enemies.

I'll take the sealed letter. It reminds me of the orders I used to receive, for some of my more unmentionable missions.

12 days later

Sir Sykes was saved from death in the small bedroom when one of the guards swords got jammed in the door and was wrestled out of his hands. He just managed to escape with his life when he bumped into Sir LewisD, Lord Banjo, Raze and Sir Roonmastor. They were joined by another escapee, Louis Valois.
Using Sir Sykes geographical skills they escaped from Paris and into the French wilderness.
Their plan was to hook up with the Cathars who occupied a region of Southern France called Languedoc. The Templar Grand Master Jaques de Molay was in touch with them.

They trudged through the dull murky forest, it seemed never-ending. They had to hide in the shrubbery a few times as the French guards patrolled in search of runaway Templars, but after days of evasion they stumbled across a secret town in the trees. Finally they could rest.

The villagers did not take kindly to their presence. One old man approached them.
“Templars, what is your business in our humble village?”
LuisD stepped forward. “Where is the pub?” He bellowed.
“We do not have one.” the man nervously replied.
“That’s a real pisser” Lewis groaned. People began to appear from their homes to watch the commotion unfolding.
Sir Sykes stepped forward. “Please, we need to rest. We have been travelling for too long.”

“What is going on here? More Templars?” A man spoke from the growing crowd.
“What do you mean more?” Raze asked.
A middle aged man stepped forward. “I am the Mayor of this town, and I ask you to leave.”
Sir Roonmastor drew his golden hilted scimitar and held it at the Mayor. He spoke.
“You say more Templars? Were there others here before us?”
“Yes yes. A fair few of them. Some royal looking Templars too.”
‘Jaques de Molay perhaps, maybe he escaped’ Sir Sykes thought.
“Those Templar b****ds stole my daughter from us.” The Mayor growled. “Do you know where they are headed?”
They nodded.
“Tell you what, I will let you stay in my village if you promise to track them down and return my daughter. My people will greatly reward you, with treasures and relics."

A- Accept this Quest
B- Decline, destroy and loot the village.

The majority vote wins.

As tempting as looting this village sounds, I think if we have gone to all the effort to hide from the King's forces, burning and pillaging a village is like shouting to the army "We're over here".

This time, I say we Quest it.

They all accepted the offer. They would find the Mayor’s daughter in exchange for a safe resting place, and for lots of treasure. They Mayor guided them to a barn where our heroes slept amongst the horses.

They were woken by the Mayor as the sun came up, they were fed vegetable broth and an hour later they were kicked out of the village.
They stood at the border of a forest with the Mayor.

“Keep heading south. There is a castle on a mountain called Montsegeur. I think that might be where they have taken my daughter.”
“Is she hot?” Lewis asked. The Mayor did not respond.
Luis Valois spoke. “How do you know they have taken your daughter there?”
“Because I know something. You do not need to know, just rescue her. Do not get involved.”

He refused to answer any more questions, and they were on their way.

They trudged through the thick forest, heading roughly south. Sir Sykes knew the castle at Montsegur well. After a short while Sir Roonmastor alerted them to a cabin. Outside the cabin was a dead knight.
They could hear a voice from inside. In the trees, there was movement.
They cautiously approached the cabin, the voice getting louder.
“I don’t know how it happened, I just cannot explain it this time.”
Roonmastor peered through the window, it was dusty and he could just make out a strangely dressed man in black.
Luis stared in confusion at the dead knight by the doorway. He was seeping blood from a small hole in the helmet.
“I can only throw guesses at you. Maybe the electromagnet messed up and the particles collided in the wrong way, ripping open a rift in time. Come on Scully I’ve already shot dead a knight, this is serious.”

They crept to the door, the man was talking into a small black object when he suddenly spun and held another strange object, pointing it at them.
“Don’t move.” He commanded, backing away.
“Who the hell are you!” Raze asked, eyeing up the man’s strange costume.
“Look don’t do anything stupid okay, I don’t want a fight.” The man pleaded. “My name is Fox Mulder with the FBI. I guess you don’t know what that means but I’m with the good guys.”
They could hear rustling outside. Shapes moving in the bushes.
“Get inside!” Lewis yelled as a group of ten soldier sprung from the greenery.
They all rushed inside and Luis held the door closed.

There are ten soldiers.

Individually decide if you wish to stay inside the hut or go outside.

Then use your writing skills to describe how you kill two enemies each.

e.g “I burst out of the door first swinging my sword at the first two guards…”

Hefting my Sword in my right hand and my trusty battle axe in my left hand, I boot down the door of the cabin and charge toward two soldiers.

They both attack simultaneously, I block one attack with my axe, from the soldier on the left, and then shoulder barge the other soldier out of the way, giving me some room to manipulate.

The soldier to my left swings clumsily at me, again I block with my axe, but this time thrust my sword through his belly, all the way into the hilt. I can feel his warm blood seeping out onto my scarred hand.
I pull it out and the soldier lets forth a massive mouthful of blood... he falls to his knees, clutching at the wound as if to try and push the blood back in. I take this opputunity to behead him with my axe, a crimson spray hissing up into the air for a split second.

I turn to face the other soldier, as he is just getting up off the ground from my tackle.
Just in time to hear the head of the previous soldier make a dull thud against the cold dirt...

The soldier charges, in a fit of scared rage, he swipes with his blade, but the blow glances off of my thick armour.
I push his sword to the ground with the axe and kick at his wrist with my heavy boots, making him lose his grip on his weapon.
His eyes glaze over, he is unarmed and scared.
I take advantage and headbutt him, and he staggers back, blood coming out from his broken nose like a fountain.
Whilst he covers his face with his hands.. I drive my sword through his throat, leaving it in there for a few moments and twisting it to maximise the pain in his lasy dying seconds.............

Quickly following Sir Lewis out of the cabin, I sprint outside before pausing to quickly survey the situation. Two of the soldiers turn their attentions to me, one on my left and one on my right. As they start their charge towards me I speedily reach for my lucky katana.

They are getting closer...

Jammed! I pull the handle with more force.

They swing their weapons back, preparing for the kill...

I pause and just in the nick of time drop backwards onto the floor.

As they bring their weapons crashing down, the momentum sending them right into each others helmets with a loud thud. The two of them release their weapons in their last moments, then fall backwards with a loud thud as they hit the earth.

"Heh, better lucky than dead I suppose," I say turning to see how the other knights are doing.

I rush out the cabin at the same time as Sir Sykes, releasing Orage as I run. I charge towards two knights who decide to run back at me. I swing my scimitar around at my side as I run and as the distance between me and my enemies closes and they strike with their blades I swing Orage to my left and then my right to parry both attacks.

I then swing my scimitar left horizontally, a crimson spray the result as it cuts deeps into one of the knights. I leave Orage inside my prey and elbow the other knight who is now behind me, his blade prepared to avenge his comrade. The blow makes him stagger back a step and lower his weapon, giving me time to grab Orage from the bloody corpse and swing it at the knight. He blocks the first attack, the second, the third. All the while he is taking steps backwards through the force of the attacks. This would prove to be his downfall.

The soldier took another step backwards and lost his footing, falling over a rather large obstacle. It just so happened to be the kneeling, beheaded soldier Sir LewisD had dealt with moments earlier. This was no challenge for Sir Roonmastor. He swiftly dealt the death blow before standing to attention, looking about for any remaining knights.

During the ensuing chaos, I slip out undetected and proceed to creep up towards two nearby soldiers guarding the perimeter. I snap a twig, giving away my position. Before the closest soldier spots me I remove one of my banjo's strings and garrotte him. He resists. I apply more force. Realising he won't go down easily I take the Golden Dagger from my pouch and slit his throat. Blood sprays from his jugular like a fountain as I discard of his now limp body.

"gooseberry fool, it'll take me hours to reattach this string."

Unfortunately my position has been compromised, the other soldier rushes me and knocks me to the ground. I'm now fighting out of my element so will be forced to use trickery. Fortunately the soldier does not know of my concealed dagger, he believes the dagger I used to kill his comrade was my primary weapon. As he charges again I quickly unsheath the concealed blade and thrust it through his temple. The look of surprise on his face lingers as the life drips out his skull.

I work my way back towards the others to see how they are coping.

I decide to stay inside the hut. Quickly using my athleticism to scale a roof support, I climb atop a bookcase and quickly fire my wrist-mounted crossbow. The first bolt pierces a soldier in the eye. He lets out a girlish, bloodcurdling scream, staggers outside and falls in a heap at Lewis's feet. Lewis kicks him in the mouth for no apparent reason.
The second soldier hasn't spotted me so I shimmy along a rafter and drop down behind him, breaking his neck in one movement. I then loot his corpse and find a +3 Amulet of Scorn, which upon quick inspection turns out to be a well-constructed fake.

The man calling himself Fox was horrified at the massacre. LewisD wiped the blood from his hands and replaced the axe. Raze pocketed the Amulet, certain it would fetch a few gold.
The guys cleaned themselves of the blood and rested for a moment.

Come on." Sir Sykes said. "The castle is only a days walk from here."
They left the bewildered stranger in the cabin and pressed onwards.

Eight Hours had passed and Lewis had been complaining non stop about the lack of pubs in the south. Sir Sykes was examining the open landscape ahead of them. In the far distance he could see the small mountain range, and the small castle where they were headed. Montsegur.
They were nearly in Cathar territory. There was a good chance their leader Jaques de Molay escaped Paris and headed to the Cathar camps in the region ahead. But in their lust for gold they decided to pay a visit to the castle.

As they crossed the green field they noticed a man standing still just ahead. They approached the man, crossing what seemed to be an old battle site. Rusted weapons lay on the topsoil and many small bones.
They approached the man.
"Greetings stranger." Roonmastor yelled. But as the words left his lips the man dissapeared.

"What the f***." Lewis loudly exclaimed.
"I want you to fix what you have done." An odd voice spoke.
They all looked at each other, confused.
"You stand on cursed grounds."
"Who is there?" Raze asked.
"You, Templars. You are about to witness the same pain and misery you caused to us."

The mysterious man appeared again behind them, reaching out to one of the knights. As he touched the knight on the shoulder his spirit fused with the knights body.

A sudden sharp pain engulfed each of the knights, like their bodies were burning.

"You want this pain to stop? Then kill each other. I will leave."
Sir Sykes suddenly realised what this was. A Dreadmort. The spirits of people who were brutally slain, live on in lust for revenge. When they find suitable people to take their revenge on, they possess their body and tempt them into killing each other.

"Look at that fat muscular woman. He wants to kill all of you." The monotonic voice spoke.

Sir Sykes spoke over the pain. "Guys, one of us is possessed. I have read about these. It will not leave until we are all dead."
"I'm not possessed!" Roonmastor growled.
"It will not leave until we kill the host. This pain will get worse and we will all soon die."
Raze let out a manly scream. It was intensifying.
Luis Valous spoke, trying to block out the pain "But which of us is possessed. Does that mean we have to kill one of us?"

A- Wait, put up with the pain until the ghost shows itself.

B- Someone has to die. Choose who you vote to kill off. If you correctly vote the person who is possessed by the Dreadmort then nobody will die. If you incorrectly guess, then the person with the most votes will be slain and the Dreadmort will leave. Guess wisely.

Who do you vote to kill?

Sir LewisD
Lord Banjo
Sir Sykes
Raze
Sir Roonmastor
Luis Valois
