Given that Nintendo themselves have said that kids under the age of 6 shouldn't be playing it shows that they're moving away a bit from that segment of the market.

Kids under six don't really have the dexterity or literacy skills needed to play most games, so have they ever really been part of the market to begin with?

Evn if they can't play them properly, parents still buy them. My cousins 4 years old, and he has a 360, DS, PSP, and ipod touch.

WTF? That is one spoiled 4 year old. When I was that age my favourite presents were my tricycle and lego blocks.

kids under 6 shouldn't even be spoken too, let alone given things, especially electronic things.

I'd have thought children aged 6-15 or whenever parents stop buying games is and always has been Nintendo's core market.

Also when did Nintendo say that? Is it because 3D is untested on young children and could damage their eyes? Or another reason?
