If it did I must have missed it. I'm pretty sure there wasn't.
http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6621It does look like it's designed to fit though. There are two protruding lines on the side (front? back?) that look like they're supposed to help it slide into a 3 pin thingy in one way, and one way only.

It looks like this, so it should slide right in there:

4 pin is to enable the PWM feature. It would appear your motherboard doesnt support that.
Silly question, have you tried just plugging the fan in?

What are v-check points on a GPU for? (the manual is utterly helpless)

For checking volts across the board if you decide to overvolt, with a multimeter obv.
Or so I remember.

Ok, so nothing to worry about.
Hmm. I think I'm about done with the cables for now. Before I gut this PC for its HDDs and DVD drive, is there anything I should do first? Like, to make sure Windows is all ready for the mostly new hardware and stuff?
I'm running Windows XP.

You should do a fresh Windows install for new hardware.

I'm not
supposed to throw the installation CD away the moment I'm done with it?
I think it's around here somewhere... unless, of course, it isn't. (edit: it's not... strawberry float)

Alrighty, I think I'm ready to do this. Well, tomorrow. So how do I do this? Just put the HDDs in the new PC, boot from Windows XP CD and install? Is that all?

Yeah, pretty much.
Make sure you format the install drive before you put windows on it, obviously back up anything you need from it first.

They're having to recall all the motherboards, so a big pile of Intel's money just went up in smoke.

Reminds me of Nvidia's problem with loads of 8x00 chips. I had to have my entire macbook pro's 'board replaced, due it having a built in GPU.

HDD has started clicking today, could this be a sign of what has been causing the trouble?
