Se my biggest worry is that I buy a case, PSU, Motherboard, CPU, RAM & all the other shite and none of it works with anything else.

Why can't it be simple?

It is.

Do you want AMD or Intel?

AMD - AM3
Intel - 1156 (Mid-High), 1366 (High), 1155 (New, Mid-High)

Then the rest is a doddle.

RAM - DDR3 1333MHz at least

Graphics - PCIe x16
nvidia - GTX460/560 or GTX 570/580 if you're made of money
AMD - 5 or 6000 series at 750+ is fine

PSU - ~500W of a decent brand is fine for most

Case - Mid tower or bigger

The numbers are the socket type, the brackets are their corresponding performance areas.

Cant find much info on the motherboard, though it doesnt seem to bad. And the machine doesnt have any graphics card at all.

Yeah you're wasting money paying for onboard video if you planned on putting a graphics card in. Seriously, just build your own.
