A million times this. The 360 guys troll, the PS3 guys troll, the PC guys troll. Get the mods to do their job and stop the trolling.

Rik has been trolled to death but on the other side he himself is a huge troll. He's jumping on this disabled thing Silva posted but this only flared up when he was warned.........for trolling. That is really why he's seen his arse. Trolling on all sides has made GGC the shithole it is. Him using the disabled comment to try and pressure what he wants on the forum is a joke.

With that being said.......Rik shouldn't leave and neither should Silva be banned, the mods need to do their job and stop the trolling. If neither stops then dish out the bans but at the minute there seems to be no unity or consistency in the moderation. The PC group shouldn't be targeted. All the trolls from all formats need to be put in line.

This is all I'm going to say on it. I am a PCS guy but I don't get with all the bickering. I just want to enjoy games and talk about them.

Just collecting these into one post. That PC thread by $ilva was going fine with some civil, thoughtful discussion until Rik, one of the biggest trolls on the forum yet is given a free reign to do so for some apparent reason (see his posting for numerous pages in the PC thread a few days ago, same gooseberry fool that Born Stellar aka Chemical Imbalance in the same thread was banned for) and his intentional troll post that served no other reason than to derail, bait people and start another console vs PC argument to absolutely gooseberry fool up the thread. If a mod had stepped in at that moment to stop the pathetic and blatant trolling attempt, then the thread would have no doubt continued with the civil discussion and remained open.

This thread wouldn't need to exist if the mods clamped down harder on trolling. From the forum rules:
WARNINGS

Why would you receive a warning?
- Spamming.
- Abusing other members/flaming.
- Trolling/baiting.
- Aggressive fanboyism.
- Abusing the Report Post function.
- Owning multiple accounts.
- Posting links to pirated game software.
- Posting any referral links, or anything asking for a referral, without referring to an admin or moderator for permission.
- Not using a spoiler box/condense box and a clear NSFW (Not Safe For Work) warning when posting top half nudity (i.e. tits). Below the waist nudity (i.e. cocks and vaginas) is never permitted.

PLEASE NOTE
- If a warning is ignored, the punishment will be increased to a 1 week temporary ban.

That only seems to be enforced on certain members. Nobody should be exempt from this, no matter how long they have been a member, how much they donate, how matey they are with people etc. Break the forum rules? You should be punished like everyone else.

That is all.

That would require the mods to firstly be impartial and secondly that they actually do their jobs.

If you cant be arsed to actually do something then why be a mod? The mind boggles.

Why do people seem to completely ignore how obnoxious and nasty Silva is to people?

He's a horrible forum member, absolutely horrible.

The problem is even though I feel the mod team are impartial they get abuse for every decision they make.

I shant divulge names and further swerve this magnificent thread from the lofty heights its destined to reach, but Ill just say that PC should have stayed a mod - at least he dealt with things with some righteous conviction.*

*or was that frenzied beffudlement? Im not sure, but it was great to watch.

Mafro is completely right here. Moderation definitely needs to be tighter. The amount of trolling/extreme fanboyism I've seen here is unbelievable and downright pathetic.

 Yeah, he's the worst. I've never encountered anybody else whose moral compass is so borked that it's impossible to reason with them on any ordinary level.

I ignore him because it's impossible to engage with him and remain sane.

I think that if you're going to make accusations like that, then at least have the stones to follow it through.
Who isn't impartial, do you think?

Except the PC is clearly far superior in every possible way.

Look, if you want to reduce what is a perfectly valid topic of argument and discussion to some wimpy, anodyne statement like 'they are both great' then this entire thread is an utterly redundant gesture, intended for clueless little girls, which serves no purpose whatsoever. It clearly is not the case that both platforms are great. One is far more powerful than the other, more scalable and offers cheaper per-game cost savings than the other. That is a fact. Avoid the arguments and lets have hugs all round, if you like, but I thought the title of this thread is 'The PC vs Console Thread'.

If you're not too afraid of a good argument get in and tell me why I'm wrong. If you don't think we should be arguing about this stuff f*ck off out of it and leave it those of us with a few convictions and a set of balls to match. Some days you lot sound like a bunch of politically-correct automatons - 'Oh, we can't possibly have a real argument, we might hurt someone's feelings...'

Go ahead. Hurt my feelings. My generation can take it.

No it's not and no they can't.

I like how we the thread's got to five pages, and no-one yet has made a rebuttal to my point on page 2. Maybe I made it too calmly...
