So the lead platform for this game is iPhone
What they did was they kept the iPhone version closer to the original and they went back to the console version and changed some stages to be better playable on console. That's the reason behind the delay and the extension in the development schedule.

So, a game made for touch controls then ffs. I've got an iphone and i'd never think of buying a sonic game for it

Umm that looks brilliant. But then I am a sucker for a flashy trailer.

It's an XBLA title so no demo.

Hate the scripted sequence before the actual gameplay. Gameplay was great-looking, but something felt amiss, off, odd. Probably nothing.

He spins too slow, he should be a blur when he rolls. Not a big deal but it looks a tad floaty.

I find this statement confusing. All XBLA titles have demos, surely?

So it still has the rubbish and broken Momentum and Physics? No sale, it just isn't as fun to control as any of the other Sonic games, I thought it was a bug when I stopped instantly in mid air and fell to the ground when releasing the stick.

strawberry floating hell, Sega. :fp:

When the game detects you're not holding the stick left or right, it's not gradual, it just instantly stops you in midair. :fp: :fp:

Watch from 1:10, you'll see me run and jump midair then instantly stop, also, with the spin dash over the edge.

Really annoyed the delay was to change the levels and not this :x

Why can't you spin off ramps? The way he changes to that falling animation is strawberry floating ridiculous!

Yeah that's so stupid, I have that animation state, he looks dumb and is defenceless. I used to spin off a ramp then land on some enemies on the next platform, can't do that no more.

I really don't know why they can't just program it like before, not strawberry floating difficult, 16 year olds can do it, why can't a freaking TEAM get it right? :fp:

Because we're no longer in 1991, and games tend to evolve over time?

Mario still runs and jumps in the same way and it's been 25 years. It wouldn't be a Mario game if you instantly went full speed when holding B to run, would it?

Erm, you do. And now Mario jumps in different ways. Like the wall jump or the backflip, or the triple jump, or the ground pound. Mario has evolved more over the course of time than pretty much anything else from that era.

Apparently this is going to retail for $15 download, pretty much confirms a £15 conversion :fp:
