As promised, here's my guide to the 32 teams taking part in this summer's World Cup. I'll run by each team and pick out a key man or two that'll hopefully help you keep track on some special players and sides to look out for over the next four weeks - and maybe even make you a couple of quid at the bookies!

First up, it's Group A.....

I don't know much about football so I'll have a guess at France because they won it a few years ago.

Prawned.

I've gone with Mexico as group winners. They impressed me when they played England last week and I think if they can find their scoring boots they can win the group comfortably.

Nice work Ginga.

Nice one Ginga! Just in time for the big world cup bets

I like your thoughts on Uruguay, btw and i was thinking about Forlan as golden boot material, particularly after his end to the season.

EDIT: Just put a fiver on Forlan @ 66-1, top scorer.

Forlan and Suarez really is a frighteningly good looking front line

People who make predictions are full of gooseberry fool. Unless you've got some sort of all-seeing eye that predicts the future you're more than likely going to end up with egg on your face. It's educated guesswork at best, a random stab in the dark at near worst.

But...by all means, have a wee read and make your own predictions

As much I dislike France, they are dead certs to win the group but at the same time, Mexico could be the dark horses of the group.

Odd really since they were so poor in qualifying and losing to China in the warm up does not lead me to believe they have improved.

Ginga do you rate Domenech at all?

If France had a better Manager I'd say France for sure but as it is I haven't put any money on it. I like S.A to qualify but that was before I realised the quality of Meico.

To be fair to France qualifying form normally means jack gooseberry fool when it comes to the World cup. That said the group they're in is basically a group of banana skins. Uruguay have some very talented players, South Africa are the hosts so will obviously be well up for every game and Mexico can play some good Football as shown v England. Saying that they could just as easily destroy all of them. Will be a fascinating group.
