Anyway, I know there are those that quietly appreciate our efforts and I've had some very nice supportive PMs from some people through the worst of times.

I'm always happy to be a part of keeping this community going, no matter what. I'll never forget the dark, dark times of the DDoS when that gooseberry fool really spilled over into my real life and left me in tatters for at least a week afterwards, I didn't sleep properly for days.. it really felt like a war from where I was sitting. I've never felt so genuinely gutted and angry over something on the Internet and it really made me reflect on how important this place is to so many people.

Edit: "I'll never remember"? strawberry floating reverse phrase typos, never understand why I keep doing that.

The KarlProf chatroom was the best thing. The way we were using that and Twitter to spread the word and stay in touch reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Sideshow Bob outlaws TV and Krusty is forced to broadcast from an old shack in the desert with only a scorpion and a can of lighter fluid as props.

I'm still banned from the original GR forum so can't login :fp:

If I could have told the old-school Haribokart that I have a PS3 now he'd kill himself.

Ha, my first (and only banning). What a night/morning. The best thing about that image is the original filename: goodonelads.jpg.

I also have a few jpegs somewhere of the time when, in the middle of the night (early afternoon for me in Japan at the time) I was the only user in the "Last post" column. I actually managed to reply to every thread with some absolute nonsense, take a few screenies and delete all my replies without getting busted. This is the first time I've ever admitted this.

FAKE EDIT: Found them!

REAL EDIT: Just noticed I also have PSP open there, but I really did reply to every thread.

Please don't ban me. Here's a pic of Gario.

I always wondered why no-one ever popped a cock in there tbh.

Also, old school avatars are where it's really at. Obviously.

Also, I did this a while back:

Remember his invention? He claimed he'd come up with something so amazing he couldn't believe it hadn't been invented before. Then he left the forum without telling us about it.

Looking back at old GR makes me sad, before half the members became parodies of themselves. :(

Nah, it was something else. Surely someone can remember?

Just remembered my first thread. "Are you getting a DS", with the poll options "Yes, I like getting the best gaming experience possible", "No, I don't play handhelds" and "I'm getting a PSP because I'm an idiot". Then I got banned for putting Goatse in my sig.

I think AndyXL is in debtors' prison at this point.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Speaking of "less talk..." jobe1 deserves some love. He turned me to the dark (by which I mean, Björk) side.

I seem to remember a seminal thread where Albear tried to hide a new console from mrs. Albear? Or am I making things up?

GR Big Brothers were great as well.
